New Addition on an Old House

The clients wanted to match the existing feel of the house, so they contacted Wise Owl to custom build three heavy collar tie trusses for the vaulted ceiling. We went with a purlin system, with housed dovetails with wedges to hold the joinery.

Note the surfaces were left rough sawn and our special nylon brush cleaned up the wood nicely before finishing.
