Rough
Sawn White Pine Timber Frame Pavillion, 10' x 14', Port Williams,
NS
This structure gave tribute to a timber frame barn which had been torn down. The placement of the bents in relation to the plates are staggered just as the barn had been. Straight lines on the knee braces give you a sense of strength and barn-like function.
A weathered stain was a applied to the structure, resulting in a nice chestnut-like hue on the surface.
The arched timber frame arbour on one of the eaves leads you to a small pond with lily pads and frogs.
Custom Adirondack chairs and hanging flower baskets grace the area.
